Still snowing...

This our japanese maple, it looks sooo pretty with the snow on it.

I told ya I loved the snow, I was just outside, it's just after midnight, and it's still snowing.
I know I am a super freak.
Here's updated photos....see the blog below for the before shots.

Al has always known that I love the snow, so he planned to propose to me on the first snow fall, he waited and waited but it didn't snow. So he kept the ring in a safe place with a plan B in mind, and he took me to the go see the lights display at Stanley Park in Vancouver that the Fire departments put up every year to raise money for charity. There is alot to see and do there and one of the highlights is the kiddy train that takes you around and shows you awesome scenes and lights display with music and the whole bit. There is a petting zoo and a place to eat and have hot chocolate. When we arrived we decided to do the train last...at Al's suggestion now that I recall. So we did all the other parks fun stuff. We were feeling very warm and cozy after our hot chocolates as we set out to purchase our train tickets. When we did and were waiting to get on the train, Al said he wanted to sit at the back of the train where the last seat sits backwards. I was fine with that...I thought that would be romantic and we would be able to see everything easily. Don't forget we are on kiddy train so our knees were up to our chins and touching the railing in front of us, and we were sitting side by side!! With the Christmas music and all the beautiful lights and scenes we were seeing, I was totally taken in by it all. When Al said my name to get my attention, I looked at him and he was all twisted in our little seat with an attempt to get on one knee while holding out an open box with the most beautiful ring and said "Robyn, will you marry me?" I was shocked but reacted quickly and said yes, of course. We always talked about getting married and I knew he'd ask me sooner than later but on that day and that time, I was not even thinking that. I found out later that everyone knew about this except me. Al had planned for a long time to ask me during the first snow fall or a Christmas lights display...the lights came first.
Thanks to a certain friend, JR and her recent story, and the snow, happy thoughts of this day are on my mind...and Al's as he just mentioned it as I was writing this....too funny.

What a lovely little story! It's nice to always have the reminder of such a significant time in your life each time it snows!! I'd have to go all the way back to Paris...Not that that's such a bad thing...
