This week...
Back track to Sunday morning, after all the snow, we had no idea our backyard was such a high traffic area...both our cats were sleeping inside (they don't like the snow much). We just about got a picture of the culprit or one of them anyway, a rascally raccoon out for some morning snacks...usually we only see them at night.
WE started off with a little bubble time in the sink! Love the casual crossed legs...I just wish she'd wash those dishes too :)
After getting out of the house, we headed to the long awaited (8 months) hearing test...and drum roll please, what we already knew but are happy to have affirmed by the expert...Zoe's hearing is perfect, and there is no fluid in her ears either. The audiologist says Zoe would hear a pin drop. So folks, that's our daughter, she can hear you just fine, she is just "choosing" to ignore you at those times when you are wondering if she hears and understands you. Oh yes, she does. Now if only we could solve the mystery of her speech delay, we'd feel awesome. Zoe's speech is progressing very well...but it's still an uphill battle. WE have many great breakthrough moments and that's what keeps us inspired.
The slowest slide in town, known to man, unless you're wearing rain pants! Which we were not...We went to the park for a much deserved snack and good time. It was a beautiful day for it, and I never get used to the awesome scenery that we call home...it is breathtaking each time. There were alot of kids there, Zoe had a great time playing with them. As of late, our child whom we thought might be shy has taken a new turn, a complete 180, it's so wonderful to see her run up to other children and play, and get right in the middle of things, confident in her own skin and where's she at. It's cool.
We then ended the day with a Bambi 2 movie, look at the lounger.
The rest of the week has been pretty low-key. Although there was storm passing us by, we walked to a friend's house for tea. Not a whole lot more to blog about, so night all...Cheers.

Sounds like zoe is doing great! nice to hear she's socializing and having fun. good news about the hearing....i often think i should get sarina tested too, but i think her problem is "selective hearing" as well. must be a problem for most 3 year olds. Sounds like you are providing lots of opportunities for Zoe to develop her speach, good work Robyn!! It's hard not to compare your own child to others (I think we all do it) but every child is unique and special in thier own way.I really miss that park...twice a day for 3 years and only now I realize how truly beautiful it is.
glad to hear Zoe is having fun!!
