Oh Crap!

Hints of Zoe getting this awful cold/flu were present yesterday with a little bit of a fever, and some coughing! But she slept thru the night, so we were feeling optimistic that she was skimming by without getting it. WRONG!
Today, with a fever, no appetite, coughing (with a tiny excuse me at the end of each one), and some serious vegging out. Zoe even laid down in her bed and took a nap (that never happens). Needless to say, she missed on daycare today and playing with her friends.
The poor little thing kept asking me "what's the matter mommy?", and wanting hugs & kisses, and was really trying to be happy (she even said a couple times, after a hug, "thanks, I happy")!
She hardly ate anything, I fed her some apple sauce & yogurt. Not even chocolate pudding would do the trick today.

Honestly, it is days like these that remind me just HOW small she still is. She is only 3, just a babe. And yet most days, she seems so big, and we are easily convinced by her of that too.
I do love all the cuddle time that we had today. Hopefully she fights it, and will sleep most of it away. Our hearts just break to see her so glum, and sick. We love her so much, it hurts.
