103 degrees F

Oh man, what a crazy night and day.

Remember when you had a newborn, and the days and nights were mixed up and felt the same, that's what the last 30+ hours have been like here. With a fever that won't quit, Zoe is a fighter. She just wants to be happy. Sore throat, cough, fever, no appetite, and tired, thank-fully no ear trouble. The fever though, holy crap, it won't go away, but we can keep it down with meds, cool baths, cool clothes etc. If it keeps up much longer, we will take her to the hospital tonight, or the doctor tomorrow, I don't what they can do for us, but at least we can find out. I had all these symptoms just a few days ago, and the fever was brutal but I handled it better being me than I am watching her with one.
I tried to keep the fluids going into her today, not alot was successful. But the popsicle worked...until it started melting and fell apart, then she didn't want it anymore. My friend brought over a pharmacy run for us...so we have the meds to keep the fever down. We tried pedialyte, but Zoe really doesn't like that stuff, I don't either, it's pretty strong flavoured. (even when watered down). Anyway, I'm off to bed, hopefully for the night, (I can wish!). Zoe really had a rough night and day, so hopefully tonight's sleep is better, and tomorrow is a better day too.

Poor little punky.

Hopefully the meds kick in and the fever breaks... "Hang in there Zoe!"

Hope today is a better day for you both. It is soooooooo hard when your little one is sick, you just feel so helpless. I give Sarina half a jumbo Mr. Freeze when she has a fever, it's a treat that's nice and cold and doesn't drip like popsicles. Good luck, hope Zoe gets well soon.

Oh dear! It sounds like you're doing all you can for your little peanut! It's SO hard when your babies are sick. We can't seem to shake the colds that we've been suffering with since February!! Still seem to be hanging on... Things are different than they were when we were kids, that's for sure. Just be persistant! Give Zoe a squeeze from us and one for you too! Keep warm...or cool!!

In the future, you may try the clear, no flavor pedalite and mix it with apple juice or something, that's what I did when Emma would get sooo sick when she was small. Mr. Freezies, as mentioned by Jenn, are awesome too!
