4 weeks old, already
WOW, where did the time go?! I know I haven't been sleeping too much, but the time went fast and slow at the same time. I hope I savoured all the moments and can retain some memories of these past 4 weeks. At first the crying and all the rest of the noises that Evan makes was hard for Zoe to tolerate, as noise as always been a sensitive thing for her. Now she is fine with it, and has really risen to her role as Evan's big sister, she is my 'go-fer' girl, Ex. Zoe is going to Evan's room 'fer' a clean outfit, diaper, or blanket.
She really likes being helpful, and knowing that she can contribute in caring for Evan right now is great.
Evan now weighs 2 pounds more than when we brought him home. He is a very active little guy. Already holding up his head, rolling to one side, and focusing on toys, faces, and my boobs - his number one priority...lol.
I'm impatiently and slowly recovering, my mind wants to go but my body says not yet. It's been a challenge, a kind of refreshing one, to give up some of the control around here, and take a back seat...luckily I have a great and supportive husband, compassionate and thoughtful friends, and a loving family.
