Catchin' up

Zoe and I spent Spring Break visiting family and friends in Abbotsford. We visited Vancouver Aquarium with Grandma and Papa. Zoe and Jordan stirring up trouble in Grandma and Papa's garden wishing well.
Oma and Zoe, hanging out and sharing some chocolate...from Brazil, yummy.
Indoor amusement park...esculators...always a winner.
Auntie Lori and Zoe drawing a masterpiece.
Just me being Goofy.
Qwanoes Women's Retreat. I invited a few friends to go to this retreat with me, and we had a great time. It's a Christian camp that is in Croften, BC. The pictures of scenery do not do this place justice, it was breathtaking. We all came home feeling refreshed, and inspired. I know I will be going back.

(L to R) Julie, Julie's mom - Anita, Kate, Donna, Dee, ME!

Zoe on a blustery day at Willingdon Beach...we can't wait for the warmer spring weather.

Fish update...

Fin is no longer with us...he got Ick and it was too late to save him, even though we tried. Pinto survived and is still going strong. Ernie watched the fish like this for about ONE day, and then he resumed his daily regime of sleeping and eating, mostly sleeping. We've since moved up in tank size, quickly realizing that the 2 gallon tank was just too small for what we wanted. So we bought a 20 gallon, and are cycling it. We in our 3rd week now. We put 5 baby goldfish in, you need to start cycling the tank...and Marlon died after only one day. Probably too much shock for him. He was Marlon Brando, because he had a black mustache marking and looked grumpy. We also lost Soda, who's name was later changed to Lola by Zoe (while I was away for the weekend). Not sure what happened with Lola, but she was having trouble breathing and didn't survive...she might have had flukes.

Still with us, is Charlie (that's how Lola got her name, Zoe figured that's the name that goes with Charlie) She loves Charlie and Lola, it's a kid's show if you don't know. Also with us, Bubbles - smallest fish and loves to play in the air bubbles. Striper, named by Al - for his stripes on his back fin.

3 out of 7 fish have died but we are doing pretty good - so far, considering the tank is cycling and that is pretty toxic stuff for the fish to live through. Pinto is enjoying his new friends. He was pretty lonely after Fin died.

This fish thing is quite a learning curve. My new tank is pretty, I'll post a picture soon. I am sure you can't wait.
