Taste Testing
I've been doing alot of Christmas baking again (with some help from Al -yes Al can bake (alittle), he's improving, and also Zoe).
Last year we gave away some baking as gifts, as well as our wine, and it was very well received, so we are doing it this year too, making some new things as well. We always like to make stuff and include it in our gifts to give.
It's fun, I find baking very therapeutic, and it fills my craving to eat it by making it. I guess the smell fulfills my taste buds enough so that I don't have the desire to eat much of the baked treat, which is beneficial for my behind.
Zoe is my official helper, and taste tester. She's been very adventurous which is just not her approach when it comes to food, even if it's baking...maybe that is changing, hurray. If I am adding an ingredient that she has never tried, she will want to try abit on her tongue.
Here are Zoe's taste testing results from our baking session yesterday....
Ginger - not a fan,
Cinnamon - it's okay,
Molasses(which she was convinced was chocolate and wouldn't believe me otherwise)surprise -yummy with a scrunched up nose, & not very enthusiastic.
Ginger Snap dough - Mmmmm,
Ginger Snap cookies - x3- Delicious!
I give Zoe an A+ for being such a great helper, as she rolled them in the sugar and placed them on the cookie sheet.
In these pictures, is Zoe enjoying the chocolate icing on the beater from our baking this morning.
