For the Birds

We decided even though we have cats, we needed a couple of bird feeders. Don't worry, our cats will have to be hard pressed to try to catch the birds! They watch them with great content but have not attempted to or even acted like the birds should be their next meal. (to be truthful, they are too lazy for that much work).
This bird feeder was put up last year to honour our cat, Max, who died last summer. He is buried beneath the feeder, and I am sure he would love that all these birds are around. Max was a true hunter, these feeders would never be up in our yard if he was still around, those birdies would have been his lunch, supper, and snacks. He used to wear a bell to his embarrassment, and would still manage to catch a bird or somehow wrestle his bell collar off. We've seen lots of birds since then, chickadees, and others I don't know the names of. We also have woodpeckers, and 6 stellar bluejays that come everyday as well.
