Seafair!!

The carnival was a blast this year with Zoe! She dragged Al behind her, running as fast as her legs could take her when she got out of the van...straight to the fish game, she remembered it from last year. Little sponge, amazing! Her eyes were wide with excitement as she couldn't believe her luck when she spotted the Ferris wheel from the parking lot, and let out a big "weeeee". The chatter began, it's non-stop talking these days anyway, and didn't quit the whole time we were there, it carried on until bedtime, when she woke in the middle of the night (asking to go ride the strawberries, and the Ferris wheel), and the next morning. We went back and did it again the next day, and with the same excitement. Last year Zoe didn't want anything to do with this kind of stuff. This year, totally different girl, and has no fear either. While on the rides, she laughed, talked to her Winnie the pooh(won from the fish game), and waved to us. It's been almost 2 weeks since we did that, and when I asked Zoe what she'd like to do yesterday, she said she'd like to go ride the Ferris Wheel. Okay!! Let's pick something else, even though we told her they were only here for a couple of days, she's gotta try. She's still talks about all the rides, carnival, & games before going to bed and usually in the morning when we talk about what we are going to do that day. Guess we know that Playland in our future years will be a stop on one of our trips to Vancouver.
