Miss Independent

The last few weeks have been very exhausting. It's been a battle of the wills, and I think I'm losing. I know that it's her self-discovery of her independence, and pushing her boundaries push mine too, as a result we both grow. It's a good thing, mostly. It's not all a battle though, we have many great peaceful moments, and have been keeping busy, having fun, and going places in the sun. Yeah, spring is here.

I went to the store, and stocked up, stood in line with everyone else that had the same idea in mind. Zoe was very interested at first, but quickly lost interest once the hose was turned on. What about freezing cold water coming from the hose amuses this kid to no end is beyond me, I'm lost at the freezing cold water part, but she doesn't seem to care about that, and enjoyed watering everything in sight, and getting soaked from head to toe. Oh to be a kid again. That is the life. No cares or worries. I got my flower gardens planted, and they look lovely. I love to look out my windows and see them blooming.

LUNCH AT THE BEACH....

It was a beautiful sunny day, a bit breezy but still pretty impressive for this time of year. The view itself made it all worth the bit of cold in the wind. It started off a little cooler than we anticipated but it warmed up quickly as the day got on. We had a great lunch on the beach, and a big surprise treat, that was mostly for Zoe, the donuts were a hit. She eats them in the most interesting way, a girl after my heart though, goes for the chocolate first. Actually she ate the chocolate and gave the rest to daddy as I recall. So sweet, and sharing too.

These dogs were also visiting the beach, and Zoe LOVED them and they loved her. The Great Dane in the middle is a puppy, and is so hilarious, and he is quite wobbly, and gangly, and HUGE already. Those dogs sure were having a blast. Tons of Fun!

No need to explain the "pushing buttons" thing, my gal tests on a daily bases... most days I win, but last night she won (I feel you pain).
The beach is always good for an enjoyable day... looks like fun!

Oh, I remember the hours we spent on that exact beach last summer. I really miss it there! Looks like you are really enjoying the day!
