Friends are the spice of life
Silly girls...Princess Zza Zza, and miss Calli, very cute, posing for the camera. We had a lovely little visit from our friends, JL, Calli, and baby Marin the other day. It'd been far too long since we saw them, and even longer since they'd been to our house. Calli seemed excited to go see Zoe's toys, she was also making sure that I was aware of what Zoe was doing if I wasn't paying enough attention, and it was possibly needed. She's 3 turning 20, she said to Zoe, "Miss Penner", when it looked like Zoe was too close to the road, as she had heard me say that at some point to Zoe, what a nut.
We had some catching up to do, and even though, it's been awhile, I feel like we just picked up where ever we left off from last time, like no real time passed. That's cool. Zoe enjoyed playing with Calli, and even let Marin into her personal space a couple of times, taking a long look at her while she was there. HUGE progress for little miss Zoe. Babies are a bit of an enigma but she is figuring them out, and much more accepting of them now.
Zoe and Ryan had a great time today, hangin out, going to the park.
Ryan's mom, Pauline, is due with their second child in June, and today she told they are expecting a girl, and her name is going to be Tayler Nicole.....how exciting. We are so happy for them.
Pauline and I had a great visit, they stayed for lunch, and the kids played some more with Zoe's toys. Later we were joined by baby Macklan and Kate, who stopped by for a quick chat.
After our company went home, Zoe and I had some ice cream. Zoe has been hinting each morning before breakfast that maybe we should have ice cream instead....not! Nice try though. So today I made a mental note to try not to forget and make sure we had some at our snack time. She was thrilled as you can imagine, and told me many times that she loves ice cream. I get an "A" for that one. We finished our treat, and went outside to draw a hopscotch game with our sidewalk chalk, that was fun too.
Pretty soon, our day was almost at the time when Al gets home, Yey, it's always an exciting time. Al found us down the alley playing on a huge dirt pile, Zoe thought finding this dirt pile was just awesome. Anyway that was our day today, and all the fresh air and visiting has tired me out, more than the usual day with a 3 year old. Take care, and talk to you soon.
