A little sumpin' sumpin'
VALENTINE'S DAY is not a huge event for us, since we show how much we love each other all year...') Anyway, enough with the sarcasm.
We gave each other chocolate and nice cards after telling each other that we aren't to buy each other anything, plus I bought myself a new teapot. Ha, ha, ha.
Here's the good part...
Al got home from work, and gave me Lindor chocolates in a bag, and immediately told me to dump out the chocolates. I thought that was weird, but did it anyway, thinking that maybe we were going to see how many chocolates there were? I know...mind in neutral, chocolate on the brain. So guess what??? The man is crazy, and sooooo great. He put a very nice cracker jack prize in the bottom of the bag. It's a beautiful sapphire ring, with little diamonds on the sides, and it's a past, present, future ring, and has those words on the inside of the band. NICE. We've looked at this ring, and I loved it, and what it stands for. I love sapphires and diamonds, so why not want a ring with both :) We also talked about the fact that financially we just couldn't buy it for a few years, and would probably have to expect it closer to our 10th anniversary, we'll be married 7 years this April. So I knew I had some waiting to do. I was soooo surprised, asked if he was crazy, and promptly put the ring on finger.
From buying the ring, getting it sized, to conspiring to surprise me and catch me off guard. Well it worked. He worked some side jobs, and saved some of his beloved "bug" restorations funds to buy the ring for me. AAAAHHHHH. I tried to take a picture of the ring, but it doesn't do it much justice, on my finger it looks really really great!
Al didn't really want me to blog about this, as he was feeling like it's bragging, and I am, but mostly about how great my husband is in seeing how even when he doesn't appreciate the ring as much as beautiful chrome wheels for his bug, he still bought me something that he knew I would love. He wooed me, and I wanted to share that. I am feeling very spoiled as I fold laundry, eating my chocolates, and admiring my ring.

It's gorgeous...but sapphire is MY birthstone lady....so hand the ring over! Get your own stone!
It's really beautiful and such a nice "little" surprise! Lucky you!
